Every Stonewater Home is covered by a 7-Year new home warranty. The home warranty coverage is time sensitive and home owners are responsible to be aware of these timelines and understand the coverage. An information package will be provided to each home owner upon completion of their home. Stonewater Homes offers extended home warranty coverage that goes above and beyond the standard third party home warranty covereage. A description of our warranty coverage is described below.
Stonewater Homes warrants your home against defects in workmanship and material for a period of ONE YEAR starting on your Closing Day. You will have a formal opportunity to request Warranty Service within the last 30 days of your first year of occupancy. A Warranty Request Form was included in your closing package. Upon receiving your Warranty Service Request we will contact you to schedule one or more service appointments. In order to complete the warranty work in your home, The home warranty service will be provided as per the performance guidelines of the warranty coverage. For more information on these standards please refer to your closing warranty package. All questions relating to appointment scheduling, the nature of work being performed, or the status of repairs should be directed to our office.
The following items are warranted against defects in workmanship and material for a period of TWO YEARS starting on your Closing Day
· Plumbing system
· Heating system
· Electrical delivery and distribution systems,
· Water penetration or “leaks” from the exterior
· Major structural defects
· Exterior cladding
If you experience a problem with any of the above-noted items during your first two years of occupancy, please report it to us immediately, as these generally require a more immediate repair.
Your home is protected under warranty against Major Structural Defects (MSD’s) for a period of SEVEN YEARS from your Closing Day. For information on MSD’s please refer to your warranty package provided on closing.
Our office is pleased to assist you with all your warranty concerns during regular business hours, Monday through Friday. However, some problems that can arise outside of these hours will be considered “emergencies” and may require more immediate assistance. Please call our office if you experience any of the following outside of business hours:
· Complete loss of heat during winter months
· Complete loss of electricity
· Complete loss of water or sewer problems
· Water penetration into the home
· Plumbing Leak
Any item not mentioned above is not considered an emergency. Our office will be happy to serve you during regular business hours.
